This painting was created for the Press for Progress Exhibition at the One and Only Mirage Hotel, Dubai [22-31 March 2018] celebrating International Womens’ Day. Lyn proudly represented Australia as one of 78 female artists from around the world selected to participate in the exciting international event.
Feminine Power celebrates the power and passion of women; embracing their inner strengths, intuition and femininity. The importance of connection and collaboration are represented by the interlacing of the design.
Within a mandala symbolizing harmony through diversity, this 12-fold traditional Islamic geometric design was drawn by first principles using just a pencil, ruler and a compass.
Twelve key elements required for positive change were identified by dozens of women interviewed in Dubai. They are written in their 13 languages: English, Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, German, Italian, Portuguese, French, Armenian, Russian, Filipino, Chinese, and Korean.
