This painting won the Visual Arts – Popularity Award at the 5th Annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival 2017.
Using her characteristic colourful dot-style detailing, Lyn has embellished a simple local design she discovered, hand-drawn over a doorway in Al Bastakiya. Its charming traditional courtyard houses with their wind towers (‘barjeel’) and high sea stone walls offer many hidden gems for the observant explorer; wandering through the maze of lanes in this old neighbourhood beside Dubai Creek.
